Fall Meet #1 Info!
Hi Polo Warriors families!
Our first fall league meet is this Saturday at the Decatur Gators pool. Please read through the details below so everyone arrives prepared and ready to swim.
MEET SCHEDULE
Swimmer arrival and check-in: 8:00 AM
Polo warm ups: 8:30–8:50 AM
Meet begins: 9:00 AM
Please arrive promptly at 8:00 AM. We need time to check in swimmers, mark their arms, distribute team shirts, and organize everyone before warmups. The meet begins only 10 minutes after our warmup ends, so we will not have time to complete these tasks afterward.
We will print extra heat sheets for families to use when marking swimmers’ arms. Parents, please plan to help mark your swimmer and assist us with other swimmers as needed. We appreciate everyone pitching in!
TEAM SHIRTS, SUITS & CAPS
Our team shirts will be ready and distributed when swimmers arrive at the meet.
Unfortunately, our new swim caps have been delayed until next week. We will have extra caps available for swimmers who have not previously been on the team.
Returning swimmers, please wear your Warriors team suit if you have it and bring your black Warriors swim cap.
LOCATION
Decatur Gators Pool
Pool details and directions: https://asa.
PARKING
Street parking will be available throughout the surrounding area. Families may also park at St. Thomas More and walk to the pool. Parking spaces marked with school-system names may also be used.
FOOD AND CONCESSIONS
Concessions will offer Chick-fil-A, drinks, and other snacks.
SWIMMER STAGING
There will not be a traditional bullpen. The team is responsible for bringing swimmers directly to the starting blocks when their events are called.
Please have your swimmer ready approximately two to three events before their scheduled event so the meet can continue moving efficiently. Although there are no bull pens we will try to keep everyone in the same general vicinity.
The pool is an eight-lane, 25-yard pool. Due to the water depth, swimmers in positions two and four of the 100-yard relays will start in the water. All other starts will be from the blocks. Coaches will help swimmers with these instructions.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Polo Warriors must provide two timers. Timing is simple, and it gives you one of the best views of the races—right at the end of the pool!
Please reply to this email if you are available to volunteer as a timer. Our two timers will need to report to the timing table by 8:30 AM for a brief meeting.

Thank you for your patience as we share meet information. Fall league details are provided to us directly by ASA, and we send them to our families as soon as we receive them. We understand that families need time to plan, and we truly appreciate your flexibility when final meet details arrive closer to the event than any of us would prefer. We are excited to begin the fall season and look forward to seeing everyone Saturday morning!
Swim fast, Warriors!
PS- If you have not declared your swimmer please do so today!
